A wedding website?! Do I really need one? No, not necessarily BUT we think, why not?!

Wedding websites are actually fantastic planning tools. It makes things easier for you throughout the planning process and is a great way to manage and organize communication with your guests.

What is it!?

Wedding websites are like the ‘control center’ for you and your guests regarding information about your big day. This means all the details: time, location, dress code, places to stay, how to get there, the registry… you know, all the important stuff. Some couples even like to include a page on their love story, engagement, or brief intro of their wedding party!

What we like about Wedding Websites:

Communication – Wedding websites are a great communication tool between you and your guests. Here, you can update them with the latest news or any last-minute changes about the day. This is SO much easier than reaching out to every single guest individually. If you want to go one step further you can even add little updates throughout the planning process — for example, blasting your super beautiful engagement photos.

Organization – We are wedding planners which means we are in love with any tool that can keep our couples more organized. With a wedding website all your details, wedding information, guest list info, RSVP’s, registry, etc will be in one place.

Guest-list Planner – This is our favorite feature! It’s 2020, there is no need to be waiting for snail-mail invitation replies. You can import the names of all your invited guests and they can RSVP online. It’s a great way to see who has RSVP’d as well as send out reminders to guests who haven’t gotten around to it yet! Guests will appreciate it is as easy as just clicking a button.

Info – There is SO much important information that needs to be shared with your guests about your big day all of which can be done through your wedding website. This includes: wedding day details (time, place, attire), places to stay, fun activities, how to get there, a wedding weekend itinerary, wedding party introductions, etc…. Couples also often use their website as a place to share a bit about their love story and engagement.

PhotosThis is a fun bonus section, have your guests upload pictures they took on the wedding day to share with everyone! Note: This feature is only available on some platforms.

Music Have guests make song or music genre suggestions they think everyone will love hearing at your reception. This makes for a better dance party!!! Note: This is also a feature that is only available on some platforms.

But I’m Not Tech Savvy?!

Don’t worry, you don’t need to be. There are so many amazing platforms out there that will make the process of building your wedding website super easy and straightforward. A few of our favorites are: The Knot, Wedding Wire, or Zola.  Many of these even offer additional planning tools like checklists and timelines (Not that you will need these because you have our team to help you with that part). Our favorite part of building your site through these platforms is that you can completely customize it to include only the information you want!

So what do you think!? Is a wedding website for you!?
