Karma Bank Concept

We believe in deposits and transactions into the “Karma Bank” where when you do good, you receive good! Our best example of this in our business model is we DO NOT collect kick-backs or sales commissions from vendors. It’s our belief that with the recommendation of vendors’ companies (out of trust, kindness and confidence in their service), the returned recommendation will be reciprocated in the future. Trust and transparency with you as the client is far more valuable to us than any kick-back could ever be. Ethics in recommending vendors based on their skillsets, professionalism, and consistency is a core value of ours and keeps everyone honest in intention!

Aloha Bridal Connections (ABC) started in 2013 from an idea that was voted “Most Likely to Succeed” by Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii. We believe that we can modernize the wedding industry by trading out the old-school ways of wedding planners receiving commissions without the couples knowing about it (!!!) and instead relying on the “Karma Bank” and true transparency. We are passionate about incorporating teamwork, innovation, and new technology to ensure not a single detail is missed due to human error.

We work as a team in both the planning process and on the wedding day because each of us carries different strengths and passions that blend beautifully to create a transparent, fool-proof, accident-proof business model that ensures no matter what happens in life, we’ve got you covered.

They have SO much knowledge of each of the local vendors, it was easy to feel comfortable with the decisions I was making without even seeing it all in person.   • Throughout the process I was able to get most of my answers answered via email. The team has A TON of resources so honestly they make it easy. They do make it easy with a Calendly link incase you need to book time for a quick chat. I had a check in call with Natalie about 6 months out because I just needed a peace of mind that my rentals were in good shape. She was able to go through it all with me and we even went over time, but she was so thoughtful and did not rush off the phone. I’ve had many friends plan weddings where they could get barely any face time with their planner until 1-2 months out and that is not the case here. You can tell that everyone at ABC truly loves what they do and they all care. I am very type A and it’s hard for me to completely give up control, but ABC made it easy. They have such amazing relationships with all vendors and honestly they had an answer to every question I asked. Jamie was my lead coordinator and on the day of the wedding, she was on top of it! Everything was PERFECT. Not one thing went wrong. It was truly so magical. I would HIGHLY recommend the ABC team. Not only are they experts in the industry, but Lauren and Natalie are truly amazing founders. I thought we were organized but she takes it to another level. She thought of a lot of things we had not, and took care of it all. She held our hand as it looked like the event was about to be cancelled by new restrictions, and made sure we were in the loop despite things being out of our hands. It was incredible how much knowledge and experience she had. Julie shepherded all the vendors to make sure things went well with setup, then walked us through the rehearsal. Throughout the day of she and her team checked in on us, calmed us down, and went above the call of duty. She showed up with food out of nowhere, made sure we knew what was going on, and kept the entire night to minute precision while accommodating for our last minute wishes. She literally sewed my wife in her dress minutes before the ceremony. I cannot overstate how perfect ABC was, We are forever a fan of Julie and ABC!

  • We had a destination wedding at Kualoa Ranch in Honolulu, HI on Sept 26, 2019 and we chose ABC based on their prior stellar reviews, 5% discount with certain vendor connections, and professional website. We were assigned with Natalie and Lauren, who are the cofounders of the company. Being that it was a destination wedding, it was nerve-wracking. We had never visited the venue. However, we could not have picked a better coordinator! They were always quick to respond within a day or two. They always helped ease our worries and had suggestions which we always appreciated! For example, we did not want a welcome table but needed an easel for our seating chart. They had one available for us! On the day of, I was so grateful for Lauren. She was an angel. She literally had everything perfect for us. They also connected with all of our vendors and I felt easy knowing that they had worked with them in the past. Having a local coordination team in Hawaii who knew so much about the entire industry made such a big difference. When I first spoke to Natalie I knew she was the right person to coordinate my wedding. She was always sincere. Very quick at responding to my emails and always providing me with information about vendors and ideas, which at the time, made the process of planning my wedding so much easier. Although I was continents away from the magical Islands of Hawaii, Natalie made me felt as if I were planning my wedding at home.   • Julie with Aloha Bridal Connections was our Day of Coordinator for our June 26th wedding in Princeville, Kauai. Julie was so friendly and easy to work with. Even though we are from California, Julie was able to meet with my mom and I multiple times before the wedding at our venue. Picking a coordinator (or vendors in general) for a destination wedding can be very daunting since you are so far away. But ABC’s list of preferred vendors made this process simple and we were extremely happy with all of our vendors! Julie was able to walk us through the rehearsal the day before the wedding which gave us a nice sense of what to expect. It helped make the day of the wedding go so smoothly. Julie brought two other coordinators over for the day of the wedding and the entire afternoon was flawless. I am so grateful for Julie and her team for supporting us through an amazing time.   • Having consistently positive reviews says a lot about a company. Aloha Bridal Connections (ABC) was a pleasure to work with from the start. Lauren, the owner, is very detail-orientated, professional, knows when and how to lead, and when to let us drive the process. Our introductory call was a great first step in getting to know each other, set baseline expectations and answer any questions that either of us had. The digital resources that Lauren shared with us, along with ABC’s list of recommended vendors, was a huge help throughout the planning process. We had initially planned for our wedding ceremony to be held outside, right by Waikiki Beach. However, on the account of the pouring rain, they managed the location change, event decor staging and setup, the wedding party, family members, our 88 guests, the hotel staff, photographers, videographers and the other vendors without so much as breaking a sweat. This is exactly why you want a great wedding coordinator. Between my wife and I, we’ve been to a number of weddings… individually and as a couple. We’ve seen brides and grooms completely stressed out and the common theme we’ve noticed with stressed-out couples and non-stressed-out couples is an excellent wedding coordinator.

  • Lauren and her team were super organized right from the get-go. Sending out a shared Google Drive for us to load in vendor contracts and inspiration photos. As well as organizational templates for everything from the timeline, checklist, inventory, photo requirements, and even a sample emcee guideline. Lauren was knowledgeable about Hawaii wedding vendors and provided GOOD suggestions. They double and triple checked everything despite the multiple changes. Lauren’s team did a great job keeping us on schedule (which I honestly did not expect to meet). As well as bringing over water, drinks, and food throughout. There was not a single instance I felt stressed. They took care of everything whether it was questions from our family, friends, or vendors to keep things running smoothly.
