Wedding Lounge Furniture – The trend that stuck!
Lounge Furniture is a trend we saw skyrocket at weddings over the last few years… A trend that hit with a bang and then stuck around with no intention of going anywhere. We would go as far as saying it has almost become an essential detail at weddings!! It’s functional, decorative, and guaranteed to enhance the atmosphere and ambiance of your celebration. We are loving watching both vendors and couples getting more and more creative with different pieces, styles, and decor items.
Weddings are about friends and family coming together to celebrate a couple’s love and commitment to one another. So, it makes perfect sense to create an area where they can gather and sit while they mix and mingle. These styled lounge areas can completely transform a room or space by adding decorative class, fun, and beauty. Also, I know we are all thinking about it…. The photo ops are SOOO Instagram-worthy!
Love the idea but Don’t know where to start?! Here are a few helpful areas to think about when picking out your lounge furniture:
Styled Lounge Sets VS. Lounge A La Carte- we recommend starting with styled sets. In comparison to doing lounge a la carte, styled lounge sets save a little money in the long run. You can always make these sets more personalized by adding colored cushions that match your theme, adding specialty accessories, or swapping out items for desired pieces that fit best with your theme.
Style & Color- have this be in tune with your wedding theme!
Number of Seats- this is an important one, being able to sit 6 people minimum in your lounge area is a good rule of thumb to follow!
Table- have a minimum of 1 table! Your guests need somewhere to set down their drinks and pupus while they are relaxing and mingling.
Decorative cushions- depending on the vendor, you can choose from a variety of colors, styles, shapes, and materials here. This is your chance to be creative and have fun with it!
Other accessories could include adding decorative coffee table items, mirrors, specialty rugs, poufs, lamps, extra side tables, and anything else you can think of!!!!
Pro Tip: you do not have to feel limited to having a lounge area for adults only. Kid-friendly lounge areas or low, decorative picnic style tables/teepee’s are a HUGE hit! We highly recommend doing a kids lounge space with a bell tent, a handful of cushions, poufs, a specialty rug, and a farm table. It’s cute, Instagram-worthy, and an area for the little ones to play in.
So, time to get creative and add some flair to your cocktail hour and reception! Hop on the lounge furniture bandwagon because you will love it, your guests will love it, and your photographer will too. Have fun scrolling through some of our favorite setups!
