When it comes to your wedding day, brides have lots of options of what to wear! Wedding day accessories are important to consider, so here’s a couple tips for you to think about.
1. Jewelry: One of the most important things to consider! Whether you have jewelry passed down by family members to wear, or you’re choosing your own, you should aim to keep it simple a delicate. Oveaaccesorizing gowns with huge jeweled necklaces, large matching earrings and large bracelets may be more of a distraction than you may think! If you happen to have an old piece of jewelry thats been passed down through generations, and may be a little bolder than most jewelry choices, by all means rock it! The overall goal is just to not be upstaged by your own accessories!
2. Glasses: For brides and grooms who wear glasses on a daily basis, you may not even consider removing them for your wedding! However, when it comes to photography it may be something to consider. At times, glasses can create a glare, which may not be optimal for a sunny day. Contacts may be an easy fix for most, but if you’re not used to them or would prefer not to wear them, you could be left wondering what your next move is! The goal is to look like yourself in wedding day photos, so consider this: if your frames are a little bolder in color and style, consider getting a slimmer and less flashy pair. As for the glare, there are antiglare lenses that couples have used in the past, and are quite convenient for everyday wear anyway!
3. Veils: To have one? Not to have one? How long? How short? These are many questions brides consider, and out of experience we want to give you some insight. For inside venues, veils are wonderful and really add to the bridal look, along with normally being worn at churches. However long or short the veil, it’s normally pretty manageable. When it comes to outside venues, wind is a factor that some brides don’t consider! Wind and veils can cause a problem at times, and we’ve experienced some problems for those windy days. For the longer ones, the veils can get caught, (unfortunately) ripped, and require more of your attention. A solution could be a slightly shorter veil, and en extra hand to always keep a grasp on it!
4. Hair pieces: When it comes to choosing an accessory (or more) for your hair, there is many to choose from! We have seen twist in jewels, floral crowns, jeweled combs, flowers, fake flowers (ranging from satin, to beaded, etc.), and more. Any of these items can be added to give your hair a little more “wow” to your already bridal “wow” factor.
