We are JJ and Alison Ochsenbein and together we make up Palms & Lace Wedding Photography, a Husband and Wife team. We absolutely love our work and we love Weddings! Our focus is creating an outstanding customer experience and, of course, capturing amazing images. Our style is more editorial and candid with a touch of posing and direction as needed. The story of how we met is a little unusual but we still like telling it. We met in the men’s restroom of all places! I (Alison) was 15 at the time and we had a choir concert practice at our Rival Highschool. During a break in our practice, the line to the women’s restroom was out the door, so I took my chances and went into the men’s bathroom (what’s the worst that could happen, right?) before I could sneak in and out, JJ walked in and looked rather confused. Lucky for both of us it was a great conversation starter, he got my number and the rest is history.

In this industry there are many Husband and Wife duos and for good reason. Having two photographers is a huge advantage. What sets us apart is the way we interact with our couples. It may sound cliche, but we really do treat each couple like family. Client satisfaction is our standard and we feel that it shows in our work. We have been working as Wedding Photographers for the past 4 years and absolutely love everything about it! We love that each couple’s story is so unique and beautiful in its own way and we do our best to capture and tell that story through our photographs.

Photography has always been a common passion for both of us and eventually, we decided to go all-in and quit or day jobs and chase what we Love.
