Founded in 2010, Tori Takayesu combined her lifelong love for art and fascination with cake decorating. Tori always enjoyed creating elaborate cakes for her family and friends at celebrations, so it was a natural transition when she decided to enter culinary school. She attended the University of Maui’s Culinary Arts program where she learned the magic of baking. At the time, Maui Cakes was already a fledgling business and really took off through word of mouth and reputation which started attracting new clients, both local and visitor!

Tori’s unique style is reflected in the cakes she designs. She enjoys the whimsical creativity of her clients as well as the elegance and the bespoke! Maui Cakes takes care of the details all of which are reflected in the finished product.
