An elegant beach wedding isn’t usually your first thought when you think of a wedding in Hawaii. It’s easy to pick a tropical, rustic, or boho-chic theme when you are getting married on the beach which, is why we love when couples have an out-of-the-box vision like this one and we get to help them make it come to life! Sara and Ryli’s vision included neutral colors and elements of Hawaii mixed with more of a classy romantic feel.

Sara, Ryli, and all their loved ones hopped on a boat over to the Kualoa Ranch’s Secret Island where they would exchange vows under the palms on their own private beach. It was intimate, emotional, and totally elegant. Our favorite element was a gorgeous white arch with hanging strands of white orchids and ivy designed created by the team at J’adore Floral Hawaii. Instead of acting as the classic backdrop for their vows, they placed it at the end of the Aisle for Sara to appear through the hanging ivy and white orchid strands as she walked down the aisle to marry her prince! And then of course for the two of them to walk through again as they exited the ceremony in celebration in pure happiness and celebration. It made for a dramatic and fun entrance/exit!

The wedding migrated from an elegant beach wedding to an intimate garden dinner party at Moli’i Gardens. The evening started with a classy cocktail hour on the lower lawn. It concluded with an epic grand entrance down the infamous staircase from the Bride and Groom who then performed their first dance surrounded by all their loved ones. The reception was held on the upper lawn where strings of cafe lights were strung above long family-style tables giving the space a romantic, intimate garden dinner party vibe. The decor was stunning; clean white linens, candles, gold accents, garlands of fresh greenery, and white blooms. Surrounded by the epic Ko’olau mountains it was the perfect combination of elegance in the tropics, exactly what the couple had envisioned!
