For this charming California couple, their dream was to be married on the south shores of Kauai. They took the time to plan out all the details. Connecting with each of their Kauai wedding vendors was very important to them. Not only were they able to visit the island prior to their wedding, but they were able to fine-tune their vision and what a difference it made to their oceanfront celebration!

Rachel & Gerard had a vision of florals with hints of nautical notes, such as blue stripes and rope knots. During our calls, Rachel seemed a little unsure of what direction she wanted to go in. She just knew blue was their color. When their pre-wedding visit to Kauai came and they were able to meet and discuss their vision with their vendors, everything changed! Meeting with their florist at their warehouse is where all the magic happened! From a nautical vision to romantic blue slate linens, teak wooden chargers, geo terrarium centerpieces, floating candles, and florals that pulled it all together! This goes to show that having trust in your vendors can make all the difference. Rachel and Gerard opened their minds and hearts to new ideas. What came out of it was a natural, organic, yet elegant vision and it matched their personalities perfectly.

On a personal note, I not only saw Rachel & Gerard at their rehearsal and on their wedding day but twice before that! I was able to see how these two interacted with each other and what made them an inspiring couple. The looks they gave each other, the jokes, and the decision-making. It’s not easy combining two visions together to create a dream wedding, but these two did it flawlessly. Connecting with couples is one of my favorite things about my job as a Hawaii wedding coordinator and these two definitely touched my heart!
