Katie and James

Love Story

James and Katie’s vintage aloha wedding at Moli’i Gardens was the cherry on top of their already beautiful love story. For this couple, it was love at first sight (well, love at first meeting). Coming from opposite ends of the world (Australia and the USA) their story shows that distance doesn’t matter when it comes to true love. The couple decided it would make the most sense to tie the knot in a place that was right in the middle of their two worlds, Hawaii.

The Wedding

Kualoa Ranch‘s Moli’i Gardens is a venue that showcases the true beauty of Hawaii. Katie and James wanted to give their guests a true island experience so this made it the perfect venue for their vintage aloha wedding. They had a beautiful ceremony performed by a family friend which made it really intimate and personal. Immediately after, they had an entire table of champagne flutes set out on the lower lawn, ready to serve their friends and family. Everybody loved this special touch to get the celebration started!!

The setup was inviting, relaxing, and totally embodied the tropical boho meets vintage aloha wedding vibe.  Creative Concepts by Jeff filled the space with tropical life including island greens, white blooms, and whole pineapples. Guest’s sipped tropical cocktails mixed by Aloha on the Rocks, relaxed in the cozy lounge area from Aloha Artisans, and munched on island-fusion style pupu’s by Keneke’s Catering. The stand-out element of the evening was the ALOHA sign on vintage wooden surfboards that doubled as a DIY photo booth area!!! All these wonderful photo memories from the day that were captured by the awesome team at Seeking Films.

James and Katie were absolutely thrilled with the way everything turned out and they spent the entire day laughing, smiling, dancing and relishing in the beauty of the joining of their two worlds!
