At ABC, we love getting to know our couples! Their love story is just as important to us as it is to them. When hearing more about Mara + Daryl’s love story, we learned that they’ve been together for 12 years! In the 12 years of loving and growing together, Mara and Daryl welcomed their son and experienced a new level of love. When Daryl proposed, Mara already had their wedding vision planned out. She knew that she wanted a modern-chic wedding in Hawaii and that is exactly what we helped to create.

Mara + Daryl love Hawaii and wanted to incorporate its tropical beauty into their wedding day. When they visited the Hyatt Regency Waikiki, they knew the Na Lea Terrace would be the perfect place for their ceremony. The palm trees and the Waikiki beach was the perfect backdrop for their white circle altar that was adorned with classic white florals and baby’s breath arrangements. In his emerald green suit jacket, Daryl walked down the aisle looking suave and excited to see his bride. Including himself, all of the guests were waiting in anticipation to see Mara’s final bridal look. And, it was so worth the wait! As Mara turned the corner down the aisle, her veil elegantly flowed behind her in the breeze. She looked timeless in her chic, lace corset, gown. You’re probably thinking, aside from the bride’s look, what else could possibly top the groom’s look? Let me tell you. His son in a matching emerald green suit coat!

It was all about the details for Mara + Daryl. From their two different floral arrangements to the black heirloom plates, gold acrylic place cards, and meal indicators, to the knotted folded satin white napkins, and the floating candles. They wanted the ballroom to have an elevated modern look. Mara’s inspiration was a timeless black-and-white wedding and we created just that. Their reception was a total vibe! 

One of our favorite details from their wedding day was their sweetheart table look. In collaborating with Mara about their sweetheart table design, we knew that it needed to look different from their guest table scape. Their sweetheart table needed more elegance and what better way to create an elegant look than a detailed chiffon pipe and drapery backdrop, with a hanging neon sign, chandelier, gorgeous luxury white sofa, an intricate lace linen overlay, floating candles, baby’s breath and white orchid floral arrangements? It was everything that Mara envisioned.
