You know those couples that just make your heart melt when you see the way they look at each other?! This was Joanna and Grant. Pure, true love is an understatement for these two, they had us laughing, crying and just wanting to bottle up every moment of their special day to remember forever. It was first look magic that set the tone for the rest of the wedding day!

Whether it’s during a first look or at the altar watching a Bride and Groom see each for the first time on their wedding day has to be one of our favorite moments. The smiles, tears, joy and just pure love for each other in their eyes at this moment is a beautiful reminder of why we love working in this industry so much. Joanna and Grant’s chose to do their first-look at Kualoa Ranch’s Ka’a’awa Valley Low Camp. We have to say this was one of the most beautiful and emotional first looks we have ever had the pleasure of being apart of. The couple turned to see each other from a few feet away and both couldn’t help but cover their mouths as they both cried and laughed walking towards each other for that first hug. Check out the photos, they say it all. The combination of the epic surroundings and the couple’s raw, powerful reaction to seeing each other made for an absolutely magical moment– it was so pure and SO BEAUTIFUL! Like we said, first look magic!

The couple said vows in the bowl at Paliku Gardens. However, instead of having that classic Chinaman’s Hat and ocean view they decided to flip things around and have those epic Ko’olau Mountains as their ceremony backdrop. What do you think!?

The vision for this wedding was simple & modern. The couple’s top priority was an incredible guest experience, which totally encompassed their sweet, selfless, kind-hearted personalities. And they totally nailed it, all the guests had an amazing time!! They relaxed in the super cute and cozy lounge area by Aloha Artisans, indulged in delicious desserts from A Cake Life, and of course, took tons of photos in front of a human-sized marquee ALOHA sign by Designed with Aloha. All the while sipping on delicious cocktails and chowing down on yummy food from Aloha On the Rocks while dancing to sweet beats by Bliss DJ’s Hawaii. The reception decor included a clear top tent, cafe lights, chandeliers, crisp white linens and came to life with a palette of white, green, and soft pinks florals by the talented Creative Concepts by Jeff all together creating a modern, intimate garden party vibe. The romantic ambiance, lively atmosphere, fun guests, ever-so-sweet couple, and amazing vendors made the entire evening absolutely perfect.
