Pets are family, so why should they miss out on the most important day of your life?! Your pet can fit in to your ceremony, reception and photos. Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning to include your furry friend in your wedding:
Have a sitter: Your mind will already be on a million things so appoint a guest or have someone the pet is comfortable with act as a sitter for your pet. This way you don’t have to worry about whether the dog went to the bathroom or if he needs to be fed.
Know your pet’s personality: giving your furry friend a big role in the wedding is probably not a good if they are skittish and afraid of people. You want it to be enjoyable for them too. Obedient well behaved dogs can probably handle a bigger role like acting as the ring bearer or flower girl in your bridal party just be sure they feel comfortable around big groups of people.
Let your photographer know! Wedding photos with your pet can turn out incredibly sweet. Be sure to discuss with your photographer prior so they know you want some shots with your pet and can plan accordingly and help you come up with some great shots.
Let your guests know so anyone with allergies can plan accordingly
Confirm your wedding venue allows animals. It would be a bummer to plan a ceremony with your furry friend to find out they are not allowed at your venue.
