When I think of Gloria & James, immediately my mind flashes to laughter, scrunched noses and their contagious smiles of the wedding day! They were such a treasure to work with being that Gloria shared similar organizational styles to my own (yay fellow OCD’er!), was always so happy when we spoke and really just enjoyed the process as much as I did.

Their wedding will forever be a MEMORABLE one for a couple interesting reasons. During the set up of the day, hundreds of beachgoers were gathering on the other side of the Ocean Lawn gates for a publicly-organized celebratory event. With the “well-over-the-average” number of beachers posted right outside the gates, naturally, there’s an unsettling feeling knowing that one (or many) have the potential of being a distraction to cameras or drawing attention in this special and emotional time for a wedding celebration!

During the ceremony, my gut was twisting, eyes constantly darting to the security officers and our staff posted near the gates and ceremony space. Hundreds of people’s attention were focused on the ceremony, outside guests were taking pictures, and all passer byes stopped for a look! Any time now I was expecting drunken beach shenanigans, someone to yell, or distract our couple from their special moment.

Just as the officiant was concluding with a few words, it began to drizzle down on the couple and the beachgoers. The beauty of the moment is always incredible to see as Hawaiian rain is a blessing on any wedding day, and as they shared their epic kiss the most incredible thing happened! The ENTIRE beach of hundreds of people erupted in applause and cheering for the couple! Never have I seen such an enthusiastic ending to a ceremony; floaties were being tossed, the crowd was throwing up their hands in excitement and the couple’s grin ear to ear was the second best to both of their fist pumps in the air!

All in all, an incredible wedding day captured by an incredible set of teams. A big thank you to Visionari & Aria for capturing their day, and an even bigger MAHALO to Gloria & James for having us all! Congratulations again!
