This past weekend we had the opportunity to stop by the bridal expo at Neal S. Blaisdell Center Honolulu, HI.  Wedding Expos are a great place to get ideas and meet different vendors, whether it be coordinators, photographers, florists, or DJs.

Here are some vendors that caught our eye:

We know that it can be both exciting and overwhelming so we got together with our head coordinator to get some tips and questions that can help you make the most of your visit to the next bridal expo.

TIPS:

  1. Wear Comfortable Shoes -you will most likely be on your feet for a couple of hours
  2. Bring your fiance or a friend – this way you can get a second opinion and have help carrying around material vendors pass out
  3. Print out labels – print out labels of your name, your groom’s name, your email, wedding date, guest count, and wedding location
  4. Create a separate email account – usually vendors ask for email, so create a separate account for your wedding to keep organized
  5. ENJOY YOURSELF

QUESTIONS TO ASK VENDORS AT THE EXPO:

  1. What make you (the vendor) different? – this way you will be able to see what each vendor values about their product or service.
  2. Are you available on this date (your wedding date)? – it would be bad to fall in love with a vendor and they aren’t available.
  3. What promotions are you offering? – vendors should be offering a promotion at the expo, listen to what they are offering, that way you can tell if they are more concerned about you or themselves.
  4. How much are your services/ will you be willing to work with my budget? – it would be bad to fall in love with a vendor and their prices are not within your budget.
  5. May I see pictures? – it’s a good way to see their real work rather then their “expo” work.
