Hui No’eau

Where Elegance Meets Artistry

The Hui No’eau, “The Hui” for Maui locals, is set against a breathtaking backdrop of Haleakala with a coastal view of the West Maui Mountains. The Hui is the historic remains of one of Maui’s earliest sugar mills and is home to some of Maui’s unique features from a century ago. This beautiful 25-acre estate is now a nonprofit, community-based, visual arts and education organization, acting as a gathering place for Maui’s finest artistic minds. This historic plantation manor offers a selection of spaces wrapped in dramatic architectural features that create a fresh, sophisticated and unforgettable setting for your wedding day.

The Hui’s History

The Hui’s spacious Mediterranean-style home was designed in 1917 by famous Honolulu architect, C.W. Dickey, for Harry Baldwin and his wife Ethel, founder of Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center. The Hui has been a gathering place for some of the greatest artistic minds contributing to Maui arts and culture. Situated on the historic estate of Kaluanui, the Hui campus consists of housing structures, stables, and a garage that has since been transformed into fully functioning working artist studios, fine art galleries, and classrooms.
