My name is Kash Akamu and I have been filming and editing weddings since 2009. I absolutely love weddings and am so grateful to have been a part of this industry for so long. I celebrated my own wedding in 2021 after a multitude of covid postponements and am a father to one quick-witted daughter.

After spending many years with my previous company, I started Kash Creative, my first solo venture in 2018. The reception was immediately positive, as couples and fellow vendors alike, loved my refreshing take on wedding cinematography. Instead of the slow, uber-romantic, style of wedding video that so many people were used to, I became committed to focusing more of my attention to the FUN of a wedding. I’m happy to have added photography to my offerings with hopes of capturing the same magic as I did with my well established video. In addition to this, I’ve teamed up with my wife Sarah, a highly regarded makeup artist, to create The First Second as a company that showcases both of our hard-earned work in one place.

We both love getting to know all of our couples in order to ensure that you are at your most comfortable when we’re working with you on your big day. I guarantee you will love what we have to offer, from the First Second to the last.
