Over the summer of 2017, a partnership evolved between the Sheraton Kauai Resort (SKR) and Aloha Bridal Connections (ABC)! As their exclusive in-house wedding coordinators, the ABC Team has the privilege of working side by side with the events team at the Sheraton. We have enjoyed working on this beautiful oceanfront property on the sunny South Side of Kauai. What better way to celebrate this new bond than to throw a party!

We threw this Garden Isle Launch Party not only to celebrate our 5 year anniversary as a company but to also celebrate the partnership that has flourished with SKR! And what an event it was! We invited Kauai wedding vendors, a handful who are on the Sheraton’s Preferred Vendor list, to have time off out of a wedding day to mingle, enjoy libations, and a few surprises! The event had a fun and laid-back vibe, great for casual networking with vendors who don’t always have time to catch up during the business of a wedding day.

Since we never get the chance to wear white to weddings, (typically wedding vendor uniforms are all black) we had an all-white dress code. Everyone looked stunning! For our attendees, we asked for everyone to dress their best as if they were attending a wedding because little did they know we had a surprise mock ceremony planned! Some of our wedding vendors provide hair and makeup, floral or decor services and never stay through the ceremony. Some play music, and some are behind a lens and never get to fully indulge in the moments of the ceremony. With this mock ceremony, these vendors were able to sit, enjoy a glass of bubbly, and really listen in to the touching blessings from Kahu Ai and the couple themselves. Ocean Cove was the perfect setting for our Garden Isle Launch Party and our wedding ceremony. It is a manicured lawn tucked in the corner of the Sheraton’s 20-acre property with a hedge to provide privacy. Ocean Cove sits in front of the crystal blue ocean and gives a 180-degree view of the horizon. And not to mention it is a perfect spot for a sunset ceremony! This venue offers enough space to hold an intimate ceremony, a cocktail hour, and an outdoor reception for you and your guests to enjoy.

This event couldn’t be possible without the vendors who generously offered their time and services. Everything turned out so amazing! It was so heartwarming to see our fellow vendors take a load off, enjoy the venue, the styled decor, our mock ceremony, and ultimately the time with each other!
