Tina & Kevin said I do by the sea at Loulu Palm Estate on Oahu’s North Shore with an intimate, heartfelt ceremony. Their wedding embodied a beachy, tropical romance vibe. It featured monsteras, mixed pinks, dusty roses, and gold accents. The perfect style for this couple!

The day started with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and door games at the couple’s Airbnb. They included their wedding party and close family members in both. First, the Door games – an important tradition at a Chinese wedding to determine luck, children and longevity of the couple’s future. Then the bride and groom served tea to their parents to honor the union of the two families. The tradition of the serving team represents what bringing tea in your dowery used to symbolize — faithfulness from a woman to her betrothed.

This was an incredibly fun group of people! After the seaside ceremony, they enjoyed an intimate cocktail hour on the lawn. Guests relaxed and mingled on Aloha Artisans‘ romantic, blush-styled lounge and elegant Louis cocktail tables and chairs.

Dinner and dancing were held under a beautiful clear sail top tent. The design and decor fully embodied tropical romance. Strings of romantic cafe lights set the tone. The guest table settings included hibiscus pink goblets, white round plates, light pink linen napkins, and gold flatware.  The look paired beautifully with the blush table runners and her DIY tropical, romantic floral centerpieces.

Another detail we loved that they added to the day was that the couple provided their favorite treat to accompany the dessert table… a boba tea bar! Guests loved this fun, delicious addition to the spread.

The live music set the tone for the evening. Island Kings band absolutely killed it keeping the vibe fun, lively and dancing! Have you ever seen a bride rocking out on the drums on her wedding day!? No? Us either! But now we have! The cherry on top of the night was that the bride, Tina joined Island Kings Band and rocked out on the drums! She was incredible and everyone got super hyped by this surprise.  

We are so happy with how the entire day came together for this special, fun-loving couple. True tropical romance. Congratulations Tina and Kevin!
