Being a wedding coordinator is such a humbling and fulfilling job. We get to see an entire wedding vision come together from start to finish. The best part? The fact that we were chosen to help plan one of the best and happiest days of someone’s life. Some would say that being a coordinator would make planning your own wedding a whole lot easier because we know what to expect. Others would say the opposite, that it’s because we know too much that makes planning our own weddings just a little more difficult. For Leisha, it was easy. She knew her vision, a Tropical Boho Chic Wedding at Paliku Gardens. And she knew that all she wanted was to have the best day of her life with her husband, and her team by her side to see her transform into a gorgeous bride.

Leisha envisioned a tropical boho chic wedding at Paliku Gardens, Kualoa Ranch. From the first wedding she worked at, she knew Paliku was her venue. The lush green mountain ridge backdrops and the ocean-front view, was the perfect setting. Belle De Jour created a modern tropical floral look and it really helped to elevate her tables. With the tapered candles and the pop of orange napkins, her reception setting was a picture-worthy fall wedding in Hawaii. This romantic candle-lit setting definitely transformed into a dance party once open dancing began. Hawaii Events Unlimited turned on those cold sparks, turned up the music, dimmed the cafe lights in the tent, and the dance floor was immediately filled by Leisha and EJ’s family and friends.

Take our advice on this one – choose your wedding party members wisely. These individuals will be helping you get ready, be your hype crowd, make sure you look good, tell you the truth, and will be your number one support system from the moment you ask them to be a part of your crew. Throughout the entire wedding day, Leisha and EJ’s wedding party never left their side. EJ needed a drink from the bar? Best man got it. Leisha needed her dress fluffed? Maid of Honor and bridesmaids were on it. Their wedding party was their hype crowd. One of the wedding party members actually injured their leg and needed a brace and a scooter. Their entire party hyped him up and even created a memorable grand entrance with his scooter.

Leisha and EJ wanted their wedding day to be memorable not only for them, but for their guests as well. They wanted to be sure that parts of their wedding day reflected their personalities in some type of way. At their bar, Fresh Batch created signature cocktails. Aloha on the Rocks served shave ice. Their 360 photo booth, Spiral Vidz 808, incorporated Leisha + EJ’s song to their videos. And, Leisha and EJ’s first dance included a combination of dance moves that they learned with moves that came naturally as they swayed together as husband and wife.
