This rustic boho-chic wedding at Po’oku Barn was absolutely MAGICAL!!!! The venue, the epic mountain views, the incredible decor, fantastic vendors, and the amazing guests all played a hand in making this day perfect for the beautiful couple, Chrisann and Matt.  It will be one we will all remember forever!!!

Chrisann and Matt go way back! All the way back to high school, how awesome is that!? They didn’t start dating till later in life but it was obvious their connection ran deep and was truly special. The way they looked at each other throughout the day, the emotion during the ceremony, and the way their friends and family spoke about them as partners was a testament to their relationship.

The couple held their celebration at one of our favorite Kauai Venues, Princeville Ranch Adventures. The ceremony was emotional and absolutely stunning. Their guests gathered on the lawn outside the rustic Po’oku Barn for a special, traditional Hawaiian ceremony Kahu Ai performed. He blessed their marriage with love, aloha and magic from the islands.

Inside the Po’oku Barn made for the was a perfect boho-chic reception space. Their theme was simplistic, fresh, and incorporated elements of nature creating a true free-spirited romantic feel. The couple chose soft candle lighting and a palette featuring mostly neutrals, white, and splashes of dark greens that totally popped in the barn. Soft linens from Our favorite element was the texture and edge the dried flower centerpieces added to the space (Kealoha Flowers). The real star of the show decor show for the evening was their sweetheart table (pictured below). Decorated with macrame pendants, white wood beaded chandelier, dried fan palms, bleached Italian Ruscus, and dripping with preserved hanging Amaranthus all out together by the talented team at Hi-Light Installations! It was every boho bride’s dream!

The reception was an absolute blast complete with not only an awesome speech but also a rap from the bride’s sister/Maid of Honor and an impromptu bouquet toss in the middle of the dance party to Spice Girls “Wanna Be My Lover” (Thanks, Kustom Sounds Kauai for making this happen for her).

We can’t complete this post without taking a moment to mention the King and Queen of the day. Chrisann’s wedding look was absolutely stunning!! She wanted something different and unique so, she went with a dramatic golden crown and a cathedral veil that made a statement and complimented her sleek sexy white dress perfectly. She was a Queen! The most magical part of their day was when just the two of them broke off from the party for some sunset photos. The sunlight was soft, romantic, and literally perfect. With the groom having such a tall and strong statue, they literally looked like a king and queen in the golden hour light. See for yourself in the photos below!!!
