Tropical vibes. Pastel florals. Beachfront wedding. And, a little rain to bless their marriage and wedding celebration. Carolina and Justin’s Loulu Palm wedding was a vibe! The weather may not have been sunny and blue skies all day, but it did not matter. This couple anxiously waited for their wedding day and it was finally here. Cloudy skies and a few showers of rain were simply part of their wedding day. The excitement and anticipation of finally becoming husband and wife was the only thing that truly mattered.

The First Look

Typically we suggest doing a first look to get the nerves out of the way, but it really is an intimate moment for the wedding couple to spend time with one another. After the buildup of getting ready in the morning, a first look moment is like a breath of fresh air, seeing the love of your life before walking down the aisle. For Carolina and Justin they wanted to make their first look moment even more intimate and decided to share their personal vows to one another. As soon as Justin turned around to see his stunning bride in her romantic laced bridal gown and pastel tropical haku, his jaw immediately dropped. Carolina’s white flower earrings floated in the air, as Justin kept twirling her around. He could not keep his eyes off of her. When it was time to say their personal vows, Carolina went first. As she tried to get through her vows without shedding a tear, she had no idea that her future husband would write something that would make her tear up even more. After years of dating, this was the man she was about to marry. It was the perfect intimate first look moment.

Rain or shine, #ItsAboutZhangTime

After their first look, Carolina and Justin could not wait to walk down the aisle and get married! However, as soon as all of their guests got seated, it started to rain. In Hawaii, rain is a blessing. The wedding saying is that rain on a wedding day signifies that the marriage will last. A knot that is wet is harder to untie. Therefore when it rains as a couple is tying the knot, the marriage is harder to unravel. The rain did not bother Carolina and Justin. Rather, it made the anticipation to be married even higher! When Carolina’s processional music started playing, Justin looked out to the lawn and saw his bride walking toward him. In front of their family and friends with a beachfront backdrop and lush stunning pastel tropical arrangements, Carolina and Justin said I do. With her tropical bouquet in one hand and her husband’s hand in the other, Carolina and Justin paused during their recessional and leaned into each other for a second kiss. It was a photo-worthy moment!

The reception took place under a clear sail-top tent. The guest tables were adorned with pastel tropical floral arrangements created by Concepts by Jeff and each guest was gifted a Honolulu Cookie favor. It was simple and cute. Carolina and Justin’s sweetheart table was a tropical dream! Their ceremony floral arrangements were repurposed to their sweetheart table and they had seats perfectly suited for their chic, tropical wedding vibe– two white peacock chairs. As soon as open dancing started, the couple did not leave the dance floor. Their smiles were wide, the energy was high, and their love was glowing. After 13 years, #ItsAboutZhangTime Carolina and Justin were able to celebrate their marriage!
