Shelly and Steve met how a lot of couples meet, through mutual friends. But they knew right away that there was something magnetic. After a few hangouts, they could not stay away from each other. It soon turned into a flourishing romance! Steve knew Shelly was the love of his life and after 3 years, he popped the question in the kitchen of their home. Ready for the next step Shelly said yes, she could not have been more happy to spend the rest of her life with Steve!

The newly engaged couple could not decide between a big wedding or an intimate one. They only knew one thing for sure, that they wanted to get married with Steve’s sons, Luke and Zachary, by their sides. With their Hawaii trip fast approaching, they decided what would be a more perfect place to get married than on the beach! Shelly & Steve chose Waimanalo Bay as their beautiful backdrop for their Oahu beach elopement.

The Ceremony

Steve looked out into the ocean with his sons by his side as they waited patiently for Shelly. As “Somewhere over the Rainbow” played softly in the background, Kahu Bruce put a hand on Steve’s shoulder and let him know it was time to see his Bride. Shelly walked down the beach to her future husband with her wedding dress gently blowing in the wind. Her haku and bouquet from J’Adore added pops of colors to her beautiful beach goddess look. Luke and Zachary’s faces brightened with huge smiles as they saw Shelly approach their Dad.  Shelly was absolutely stunning and Steve could not take his eyes off her!

As the Ceremony began, Shelly and Steve locked hands and eyes. You could feel their love overtaking the beach. Before they said their ‘I Do’s’, Shelly had a very special surprise for Luke and Zachary. She prepared her own vows for especially for them. As she read these vows, her eyes filled with loving tears. With every word, you could feel her unconditional love for these young gentlemen and they were now her sons as well. That same unconditional love and passion carried over to her vows to Steve. At that moment, the way Shelly and Steve looked at each other, they felt as if they were the only two people on the beach. Everyone else just disappeared. This intimate moment was sealed with a kiss and a pronouncement of the new weds!

It was the perfect day for an intimate elopement, thanks to their team of vendors!
