Kelly and AJ’s celebration of love was infused with a Neo-Tropical Wedding Design

The wedding took place at Secret Island and Moli’i Gardens. As the old saying goes, “a wet knot is harder to untie,” signifying the strength and resilience of their bond. Rain on your wedding day can be a nightmare for some couples, but for others, it can be a beautiful and romantic experience. For this couple, it was the latter! To them, the weather didn’t matter — rain or shine they were just happy to be celebrating their love with all their people in their favorite place. The lush greenery and towering mountains of the venue mixed with the bright neo-tropical design elements made the the rain feel even more magical.

Moli’i Gardens & Secret Island

It is always special when we get the opportunity to work with someone who is personally close to us for their wedding day! This one in particular was extremely near and dear to our hearts. Being there to help our former teammate, Kelly tie the knot was such an honor and pleasure. The bride and groom had planned their wedding for months, and they had chosen Secret Island and Moli’i Gardens for their stunning natural beauty and unique neo-tropical design elements.

Despite the rain, the wedding was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. We can’t decide if it was the neo-tropical design elements, the natural beauty of the venue, the lush greenery, exotic flowers, moody sky or pure love in the air but for some reason on this day the rain felt extra magical. Kelly and AJ shuttled their favorite people over to Secret Island in a private catamaran to watch them exchanged their vows on the beach!

The reception was held at Moli’i Gardens under a clear top tent with romantic bistro lighting. The clear top was perfect for this scenario! It provided shelter while still allowing the couple and their guests to enjoy the stunning views of the Mountains and lush greenery of the area. These details were unmatched! A Bold neo-tropical design incorporating sunset tones with accents of blue. Between the candles and colors, it created a warm and romantic atmosphere.

All You Need is Love

The rain did not dampen the spirits of the couple or their guests. In fact, it made the wedding even more memorable and unique. The celebration was the absolute perfect mixture of laughter, tears, drinks, dancing and most importantly celebrating love!

The weather may not have been sunshine and blue skies… but the day turned out amazing! Kelly + AJ got their fair share of blessings from the island with the rain for a long, happy and healthy marriage!
