Stephanie & Lee-Roy

Stephanie and Lee-Roy celebrated their union with a multicultural wedding on Sheraton Kauai Resort’s Ocean Lawn with the pacific ocean as their backdrop. Both being water lovers, it was the perfect location for them to say I Do surround by all their favorite people (only missing their dog – Nutmeg!). With her family coming from Mexico and his from Germany it was the couple’s priority that their wedding celebration would highlight both their cultures.

When your first date and engagement both take place on the beach it is only fitting to also get married by the ocean! Stephanie and Lee-Toy both love the water, sailing and beaching, and it holds a very special place for them in their relationship. When it came to choosing a wedding location Hawaii was an obvious choice! They got engaged on the Big Island, married on Kauai and Honeymoon’d on Maui. Now, the Hawaiian islands also hold a very special place in their hearts.

Multicultural Ceremony

We love seeing two families, especially from two very different places come together in the name of love!! This couple’s multicultural wedding incorporated different traditions from each of their heritages to make day extra special. For the ceremony they are mixed a blend of both culture’s customs and traditions. It included a German blessing, Mexican lasso ceremony as well as a sand ceremony.

Hawaiian Fiesta

The reception was held just steps from the sea at Sheraton Kauai Resort’s Ocean Cove. The waves crashed in the background as the group celebrated the happy newlyweds! Stephanie and Lee-Roy’s wedding vibe could be described as a modern Hawaiian Fiesta to honor both the islands and Stephanie’s Mexican heritage.. Their vision and style were a captivating combo of deep colors meets the beach. The florals and colors had a moody Mexican meets Frida Kahlo vibe with a splash of Hawaii! It came together with warm jewel tones for decor, scattered seashells, and a palette of burgundy, deep & burnt orange, mustard, peach, pink, and assorted greenery. The design was bold and beautiful! The space had a warm and inviting vibe with romantic cafe-style lighting and tapered candle and gold accents.

One of our favorite details were their escort cards! The couple gifted each guest a salted rim shot galss with a tag that directed guests to their seat. Later, these would be used for group tequila shots during the welcome speech and toasts. Yet another a fun little addition of mexican tradition into the evening!

There was no shortage of activities for guests at this reception! The couple created their own photo booth selfie station with props. As well as had a self serve popcorn station for snacks and lawn games to keep the guests entertained! However the highlight of the evening was definitely the dancing.

There was a fire in the sky for the golden hour! Kauai blessed Steph and Lee-Roy by putting on an epic sunset show with pops of pinks, oranges, and purples. The night ended with a traditional Mexican snake dance, drinks in hand, high energy, dancing till their feet hurt, and ear-to-ear smiles! Wedding day success!

Mahalo to this group of Kauai vendors who came together to make Stephanie & Lee-Roy’s special day.
