One of our favorite venues on Kauai is Waimea Plantation Cottages. It’s spacious, oceanfront, and has a vintage Hawaiian vibe that everybody loves! This venue has its own character and personality that set the magical ambiance. Inspired by the venue’s natural beauty, the couple’s vision for their wedding day was simple, modern and tropical. The earthy wooden decor did not overshadow Waimea Plantation Cottages’s natural beauty. Rather, it highlighted the vintage Hawaiian vibe and accentuated the vibrant traditional tropical blooms. Their modern tropical inspired wedding was a fun family oriented celebration!

This couple’s modern tropical inspired wedding was anything but ordinary. Kealoha Flowers flawlessly created a stunning column arch arrangement dressed in lush dark greenery accented with vibrant red, orange, and yellow traditional tropical florals. It was a stunning sight to see the vibrancy that the tropical florals had under the 100-ft. tall Banyan tree. It was a picture-perfect moment as Marisah and Jeffrey said “I do.” Kealoha Flowers brought the magic at the head table. She created a small tropical garden that spread from end to end. Farm tables were covered in dark lush local greenery and vibrant red, yellow, and orange loose tropical blooms. The guest tables featured tropical bloom filled wooden vases and romantic tea light candles. Finally, the table numbers featured pictures of the couple at the corresponding ages. It was such a cute personalized detail!

Rather than having one caterer for their wedding, this couple wanted to do something different. They hired five different food trucks! First, of course they had a bar truck by Pau Hana Pours. For food, guests were able to choose between tacos, local Hawaiian food and Asian noodles. Lastly, they had a dessert food truck serving pineapple and pistachio soft serve whip. Guests were able to mingle in the food truck area and relax. The food truck area was a huge hit! It was a unique and fun way to have dinner.
