Anita and Ben are the perfect examples of ‘when you know, you know’. Anita, a German beauty, was visiting the beautiful island of Kauai when she met Ben, a handsome local boy. Ben showed her the most beautiful parts of the island making her fall in love with more than just the island! When she returned back to Germany, she felt as if she left her heart on Kauai and for Ben, the island just wasn’t the same. Anita made her way back to the island and back into Ben’s arms. Ben knew that is where she belonged and Anita didn’t want it any other way. They had a simple and intimate elopement at Hanalei Bay with a few friends, locking their hearts together forever.

Just shortly after celebrating their one year wedding Anniversary, Anita and Ben decided to proclaim their love for each other once more with a renewing of their vows at the Sheraton Kauai Resort. They wanted the other to know just how deeply loved the other person was and how their love for each other would carry them into the next stages of their love story together.

As the chairs filled before the ceremony, Anita and Ben began to get nervous. The music started and Anita locked eyes with Ben as she walked down the aisle towards him. Everyone else started to disappear. It was as if time stood still and they were standing in a painting. Kahu Ai began the ceremony incorporating Hawaiian traditions using Hawaiian salt, locally sourced water, and a fresh coconut. It was when they got to their personal vows when Anita’s eyes filled with happy tears as they expressed their love and passion for one another. You could feel their love from your seat.

The Sheraton Kauai Resort’s Ocean Cove venue was the perfect spot for their Kauai vow renewal with a breathtaking black lava rock shoreline. Flowing white draped linen hung from two palm trees that made up their arch with beautiful floral arrangements with pops of lilac blooms on both sides of them. A majestic single tree with long branches reaching out in all directions in the background. The sky changing from blue to orange and red as the sun started to sink into the ocean as they said: “I do”. It was as if it came out of a fairytale!
