This year, we rang in 2022 with two gorgeous intimate Kauai weddings! And, we absolutely loved them! On this couple’s wedding day, the weather was so perfect for this National Tropical Botanical Gardens celebration. Jaycie and Drew’s low-key tropical bliss-inspired wedding was simply perfect!

Jaycie and Drew envisioned an intimate romantic ceremony followed by a laid-back reception. Yet, they still wanted high energy and fun vibes!  And, their guests understood the assignment. The vibe and their vision came to life at this venue in an intimate tropical bliss with their closest friends and family. Everyone was so excited to finally be celebrating the love of these two high school sweethearts.

The couple leaned into the tropical vibe and said I do in front of one of the National Tropical Botanical Gardens’ iconic trees. This spot made for the perfect backdrop for Milianani Kauai floral team’s half circle tropical installation. The floral installation was filled with large green palms, large dried palms, and tropical vibrant pinks, yellows, and whites florals. It was a tropical floral installation dream, as if their ceremony location was meant to be at that specific location. Trees represent knowing one’s roots and growth. Being high school sweethearts, Jaycie and Drew have grown so much together and it was such a symbolic moment to see these two wonderful people becoming one unit. It was a romantic ceremony.

Jaycie and Drew’s reception was on the same lawn space, but the vibes were totally different. It was a high energy, low key, tropical bliss reception. Guests were given champagne decorated with purple orchids, enjoyed the live music by Bronson Aiwohi, and tasted island flavors at the Pineapple Express food truck. The guests were all singing, dancing and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this intimate reception. But it wasn’t over after that, the party continued on to a sunset boat cruise to the Na Pali Coast!

The National Tropical Botanical Gardens has the most gorgeous florals and plants! This venue was the perfect place for the couple to sneak away and get some romantic, tropical couple photos with their photographer, Julia Poole, before leaving on their Na Pali Coast boat cruise.
