As a coordinator in a popular destination wedding location, it is truly special for us when we get the pleasure of working with a couple from the islands; like Faisha and Sheldon. These two were an exceptional combo: high school sweethearts born and raised on the island of Kauai!

Now based on Oahu, this couple decided to return to their roots and say their wedding vows on Kauai at Iliahi Grove Farm. This venue was once the home of the Lihu’e Plantation Company’s former manager and offers incredible views of nearly half the island of Kauai. Absolutely perfect for a Kauai couple’s wedding celebration!

Their wedding had a simple-chic meets classic romance vibe. The decor was simple with a modern flair featuring soft greenery, clean whites, and lights! The clear top tent from Kauai Tent was dressed by HiLight Installations with white chiffon fabric draping, twinkle light, and glass orb wall, and cafe lights galore. SonFlower Florist had the space looking light, fresh, and romantic with floating candles, soft blooms, and tons of eucalyptus with assorted greenery.

Any local Hawaiian girl knows what it’s like throwing a wedding on the island they grew up on… every friend and family member wants to donate their “services” and help out. This can often increase the stress level but in the end, we think it honestly makes the event that much more special for the couple… Faisha and Sheldon had all their pupus and catering taken care of by family members and music and Emcee services donated by friends! The mood was fun and upbeat all night with live music by The Homestead Band for ceremony and cocktail hour and Ka Ha Band after the program. There really is no substitute for live music at a wedding. It was such a pleasure for our team to help this vision come to life. And All in all, it was the perfect celebration for these two high school sweethearts.
