Leif & Kristin tie the knot at National Tropical Botanical Garden on Kauai

This destination wedding couple from California reached out to us with the idea to have an intimate Kauai garden wedding. We knew just the venue to recommend them to! Kauai’s National Tropical Botanical Garden is found on Kauai’s South Shore near Poipu nestled in the beautiful and historic Lawai Valley. This venue offers a variety of options for weddings, Leif and Kristin opted to say I do in the Big Valley. They tied the knot at the base of a towering monkey pod tree in the McBryde Garden.

Leif and Kristin had a unique plan for their small destination wedding. First, they had an intimate group of only 25 of their closest friends and family. They also opted for a morning ceremony in the Big Valley at NTBG. They had a traditional Hawaiian ceremony that included a lei exchange, symbolic breaking of the coconut, a ring blessing, as well as a sand ceremony. The ceremony incorporated both elements of spirituality and tradition that not only the couple but all present will remember and hold close to their hearts forever.

The ceremony was followed by a light brunch at National Tropical Botanical Garden. At this time the couple snuck away to take photos around the amazing property. They were able to capture moments together at a secret waterfall, deep in the lush jungle as well as enjoy a private picnic with just the two of them. It was incredibly romantic and they have the most beautiful photos from NTBG to remember this perfect day forever!

Leif and Kristin’s Kauai Garden wedding celebration concluded with a more formal lunch reception at Keoki’s Paradise in Koloa. The entire day came together for the couple exactly as they had envisioned, beautiful and intimate. Mahalo to the amazing group of Kauai Vendors who made this day possible for Kristin and Leif.
