Brooke & Kaleb Tie the Knot with a Destination Wedding at The Red Earth Venue in Moab Utah!

Saying I Do surrounded by red rocks and all their favorite people at the Red Earth Venue in Moab, UT. Moab has something special about it. It attracts a certain type of person, adventurous and outdoorsy. Brooke and Kaleb fit the bill. Living nearby in Colorado and having visited this special place many times before when it came to celebrating their union they knew this was the spot. Although they initially planned to have a small intimate celebration as we all know weddings escalate quickly. Brooke and Kaleb opted to say their vows at the newly built Red Earth Venue glass pavilion.

The Red Earth Venue Moab

The Red Earth Venue, in Moab UT, is a beautiful 17-acre property in the heart of canyon country. located in Moab Utah. Surrounded by 360-degree stunning views of red rock cliffs, and desert you get the feeling of being in your own private national park. This location was perfect for Brooke and Kaleb’s wedding vision. Their wedding day priorities were simple, to just have fun. They wanted a smooth flow and for everyone to have a good time and enjoy being together and celebrating love. The day was just that!

A Weather Scare Turned Blessing

Though the weather in Moab is typically sunny with blue skies the morning of the wedding brought a nice surprise. Storm clouds rolled in and something in the air shifted. The Ceremony was to take place outside beneath the iron arches of the glass venue and the reception inside. Luckily we had a great plan B in place, the glass venue at Red Earth is completely inclosed with floor to ceiling glass windows offering a great alternate option should the storm persist. The couple agreed, they wanted to have their ceremony outdoors no matter what! As the day went on a few dumps of rain blessed the property. The officiant (a close family friend of the couple) and his wife arrived before the guests not long before the ceremony was set to start. His wife, from Indigenous American heritage, brought an axe with her and told us that in her culture if you stick an axe in a log it will stop the rain (a reverse rain dance if you will!). She found a log outside the front of the venue and did just that. Within minutes the rain stopped and the storm made its way over us and through the canyon clearing up the sky just in time for the Bride to arrive and ceremony to begin. You could feel the magic. It was a beautiful way to start a beautiful wedding day. From that point on everything went on without a hitch without another raindrop! Their ceremony took place under the iron arches surrounded by their loved ones just as planned. It was extremely special, heartwarming and filled with beautiful emotion.

The Party

After the emotions from the ceremony settled, everyone switched over to celebration and party mode. They enjoyed yummy food, conversation with family and friends, and drinks for days. After the sun went down Brooke and Kaleb were joined by their guests out at the iron arches again for a (second) first dance lit by cold sparks under the starry night sky! This epic dance kickstarted the party for the evening. The group danced the night away, singing, laughing, and celebrating the union of two very special people. We are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to help this destination couple’s wedding vision come to life and work in a new breathtaking location.
