Sheraton Kauai Resort – Fun Tropical-Chic Ocean Side Celebration

2022 started off in the best way possible for our team with not one, but two gorgeous weddings on Kauai! This oceanfront ceremony and elegant reception had a fun tropical-chic theme. The party for Celina and George started from the moment they started getting ready in the morning. All the couple wanted was to look back at their photos and videos and say, “that was an epic day!” And, it really was!

The ceremony took place on the Ocean Lawn at Sheraton Kauai Resort. Lost Girls Kauai created a gorgeous circle arch with pastel toned tropical florals, lush palms and greenery. Very fun tropical-chic. Perfectly placed in front of the blue ocean backdrop, this ceremony backdrop was a vision.  Now, place Celina and George in front of this backdrop and the vision was was on another level.

The couple loves Disney and wanted to incorporate the local Hawaiian culture into their wedding day so they chose to walk down the aisle to the Song “Lava”. “No longer are they all alone. With Aloha as their new home” (Disney Pixar’s Lava song). They found their person to forever lava.

“Mr. and Mrs. Languerra”

Celina and George’s personalized details were on point. An element we found very sweet was their new, combined shared last name. Rather than Celina taking George’s name, the couple decided to combine both of their mother’s maiden names to be their new last name. Their sweetheart table featured their new name in a forest green monstera leaf wooden carved sign that was framed by tropical greenery and loose tropical blooms. Next to their sweetheart table was the cutest wedding cake. Celina and George had a Mickey and Minnie cake topper that was perfectly placed next to loose tropical greenery and a red anthurium. The couple’s love for Disney also played a part in their grand entrance song and choreographed first dance. As they entered their reception in Rumfire, “Indiana Jones” theme song played. And, their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Languerra was a remix version of “Up” and “When Can I See You Again,” by Owl City. Celina and George had the time of their lives. Their constant glowing smiles and laughter filled the restaurant.

A Special Appearance

What made Celina and George’s wedding day even better and more memorable was the special appearance from some whales! Yes, that’s right! Two whales breached the surface during their ceremony and for their sunset photos. It was epic!
