A Fresh Boho Chic Wedding at Paliku Gardens

Paliku Gardens. Birds chirping. Rolling green pastures. Front row seats to lush mountain cliffs. A beautiful ocean view of Kaneohe Bay and Chinaman’s Hat. This venue is magical! With two large lawn areas, a pavilion, and an upper garden area, Paliku Gardens can be transformed into any wedding vision. Lauren and Brian have been together for eight years and knew they wanted a destination wedding. Coming from Southern California, the couple loves sunny weather. So, having a tropical destination wedding in Hawaii was an easy decision. They envisioned a fresh boho, tropical-inspired wedding. And after months of planning, it was a stunning boho-chic dream!

The Ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate boho tropical dream! It took place at the Water Tower with a gorgeous half circle boho installation filled with dried palms, white anthuriums, italian ruscus, dried white gpysophilias, and white orchids with Chinaman’s Hat perfectly placed on the right side of the couple. And with Aloha Artisans’ wooden crossback chairs, it completed the couple’s boho ceremony vision. As the processional song changed from “You are the Reason,” by Olivia Panalva to “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” by Kinna Grannis, Brian looked up to the upper meadow to see his stunning bride walking down the aisle. With a beautiful bright smile and a stunning bridal glow, Lauren looked at her future husband below. Hand in hand, the couple could not wait to finally say “I do!” Brian dipped his bride and kissed her for the first time as husband and wife. Their guests showered them with white rose petals as they walked down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Lauren and Brian’s smiles say it all. It was a picture-perfect moment.

The Reception

The reception had a fresh, boho chic vibe! This was one of our favorite details of their wedding day. La Flor Events decked out rectangle guest tables in tropical garland incorporated with white loose florals and fresh lemons and oranges and round tables with floral arrangements filled with a mix of white and blush traditional and tropical flowers. Guest tables also featured rattan chargers, knotted beige cheesecloth linen, tea light candles, white pillar candles, chic individual name cards, and fresh oranges and lemons on each rattan charger. With the wooden cross-back chairs and a clear top tent, Lauren and Brian’s reception looked so chic!

A Dance Floor Outside the Tent

Rather than having their wooden dance floor inside the tent, Lauren and Brian decided to embrace Paliku Gardens’ natural beauty and have it outside the tent. Under cafe lights and the Hawaiian sky, Lauren and Brian shared their first dance as husband and wife. It was romantic. And, later that night for open dancing, the couple shared the dance floor with their family and friends and danced the night away. Lauren and Brian’s wedding day was perfect.
