Though most of our weddings end up being at estates or picturesque outdoor locations we do love a good hotel wedding. Especially when the hotel is the gorgeous Halekulani hotel in the heart of Waikiki. For Oahu locals, Thuy Ny and Ian the venue checked all the boxes. There is just something so special about saying I do steps away from the iconic Waikiki Beach. This classic and romantic celebration was an absolute dream, the photos say it all! 

Thuy Ny and Ian said I do on Halekulani’s Hau Terrace Lanai with the turquoise pacific ocean and diamond head as their backdrop. They stood before a gorgeous wooden arch elegantly draped with white fabric and blush, peach, and white floral arrangements featuring anthuriums and pops of greenery. With the live music, the picturesque views, and the ceremony, performed by the couple’s close family friend, it was absolute perfection.

The Hau Terrace is a beautiful space, surrounded by glass with french doors for an indoor/outdoor feel. The iconic views and exceptional service provided by the hotel make this a top choice for Waikiki weddings. Thuy Ny and Ian went for a classic and romantic design that incorporated a touch of tropical. Think whites, pinks, hints of teal, soft tropical flowers, and gold accents. Guest tables were decorated with cylinder vases of varying heights with floating candles, gold votives, light greenery, blush, and pink roses. The chivari chairs and tea tin favors added just the right amount of gold to accent the look!  

To make the day even more perfect, Oahu put on a show with an absolutely epic Waikiki sunset that lit up the sky with an array of glowing colors! Cheers to a beautiful, long and happy marriage for Thuy Ny and Ian. Advice given from their friends on the day – “Time is a precious gift that can’t be bought therefore it is the most valuable gift you can give to someone.  Enjoy each other!”
