ABC’s Ultimate Tips for the Night Before Your Wedding
It’s the night before your wedding, you have butterflies in your stomach, you can’t sit still and your brain is going about a million miles an hour!!! Girl, don’t you worry, EVERYONE gets those night before wedding nerves, It’s totally normal! That’s why we have created the ultimate night before the wedding checklist to give you peace of mind and a good foundation for your big day!!
To start, let’s break this down into a few different categories
General Night Before Tips:
- Eat a healthy meal
- Drink plenty of water
- Don’t party too hard at the rehearsal dinner – you want to be fresh for the morning
- Turn your phone on silent and designate someone to handle last-minute calls (Don’t worry brides we know this is a tough one but that’s what your bride tribe is for!!)
- Layout or hang your “Get Ready” clothes
- Get a solid night’s rest! (We know sleeping might be hard because your just THAT excited, but try and get some sort of rest)
- Go shopping the day before or designate someone to get food and beverages in the room for the morning, nobody likes to be hangry or coffee-less!
Bride’s Room:
(guys skip ahead)
- Wash your hair
- Last-minute beauty prep, nails, masks, hair
- Have all inventory gathered in one location or in boxes and bags to easily be transported by your coordinators or set up crew (or if possible already in the car or at the venue)
- Vows + Marriage License
- Final Payments + Gratuity in individual envelopes
- Cash on hand for last-minute tips or bell service
- Wedding dress – hung outside of the bag to air it out
- Letter and/or gift for your Groom (if applicable)
- Gifts for your parents and/or Bridal party (if applicable)
Gather the following for Photos in the morning (Your photographer will thank you!):
- All rings- engagement rings + wedding bands in one place
- Wedding dress, hanger, shoes, accessories, hairpieces, garter, etc.
- Attendants in processional – Dresses, shoes, accessories
- Additional Details – Stationery, Invitations, Save the dates
For the Day:
- Pack a bag or clutch of personal items you would like to have throughout the day-
ie: lipstick, sanitary napkins, tissues, phone, etc. - Extra slippers or sandals, just in case your feet get tired!

Groom’s Room:
(Girls… you probably want to read this anyway to make sure your man has everything in line)
- Suit- pressed + hung
- Accessories – watch, cufflinks, a special memento, socks!
- Attendants outfits + accessories
- Letter and/or gift for your Bride (if applicable)
- Gifts for your parents and/or Groom’s party (if applicable)
- Send out a reminder to all your groomsmen of when and where they need to meet (showered, shaved, and ready to go!!)
Get in one last kiss! (absolutely CAN’T forget this one!)
Whether you have chosen to embrace the tradition of sleeping apart or you’re heading to bed together the night before your big day take a moment just for the two of you. Take it all in, reflect on your relationship, and this journey together, and enjoy one last smooch as fiancés.
Pro Tip: If you want to be extra organized and on top of things ask your ABC coordinator for a printable copy of this ultimate checklist to have in the room with you the night before. It never hurts to double and triple-check that all your ducks are in a row!
