Wedding days are supposed to be a wonderful and lovely celebration of two people getting married. However, this usually means two families are marrying as well. When two families have different dynamics or a tendency to disagree it is something to be aware of when planning your wedding. We have lots of experience in dealing with family dynamics on the wedding day.
In a recent wedding, both the bride’s family and the groom’s family were not very fond of each other. This is actually more common than you would think and it usually comes down to differing religious beliefs. The couple did a wonderful job in communicating to both sides that the wedding day was going to be a joyous occasion about the love that brought the two of them together.
They really incorporated both religious beliefs into the wedding day perfectly by having two ceremonies that pleased both sides. They chose to have both a Catholic Church Ceremony and a Hawaiian Blessing Ceremony. This is probably one of the best decisions they made about their wedding day because it showed compromise and respect for both sides. I wouldn’t recommend this for everyone as usually one ceremony should be enough but with difficult family dynamics this was the perfect solution!
This wedding is just another great example of how the wedding day is truly yours to personalize and make the most of!
