Most of the time everything goes perfect on wedding days, but every once in a while something happens and it’s our job to step in and make it seem like nothing was ever wrong. During a wedding we had back in April it felt as though those little, and sometimes not so little, things kept happening. From the moment we got to the venue there we had to get our team in high gear to fix things up.

That day the wind was a little stronger than normal which doesn’t usually cause any problems. The problem we did have was with the paper lanterns that were hanging on their tent. The wind had gotten to them overnight and shredded their delicate bodies to pieces. We were able to contact the rental company and they rushed out there to replace them before anyone even knew they were damaged. We were all able to breathe a sigh of relief and the ceremony went on beautifully. Until later in the night.

They say April showers bring May flowers, but they will also bring down your tent if you’re not careful! During the reception, while all the guests were having a great time dancing on the dance floor, the tent split open right over one of the guest tables. Luckily no one got wet or hurt, but it sure did startle us all. With us holding a sheet to keep the DJ equipment dry all of the guests were able to enjoy dancing until late in the night when the rain finally stopped.

On a wedding day, there are just some things you can anticipate happening even if you tried. From the weather to the equipment, to make sure everything is on time. That’s why we are glad when we are able to be there to fix it all back to normal and save brides and grooms the stress and worry on their day!
