Choosing a theme for your wedding can be incredibly overwhelming. There are truly an infinite number of directions you can go with it.  You can go with a clear theme or just use it to generally set the mood with decorations. Themes can be broad or narrow; they can be mood, color or style oriented. The theme sets the stage for your special day and it should not only match your unique personality but also go hand in hand with time of year, venue, number of guests etc… Heres our three favorite tips to help in choosing a wedding theme:

Research!

Ask your friends and family, they know you best. See what they think about a theme that would fit what you are looking for, for your special day. Talking to people and getting their suggestions and ideas is a good way to narrow down your options. Go online! There are millions of ideas out there. We suggest going on to Pinterest to gather as many ideas as possible and then weeding through them to find themes, decoration and color ideas you like.

Consider your season and location!

Your location should reflect you as a couple. Once the spot has been chosen it is easier to come up with a theme that somewhat matches it.  The season will affect indoor/outdoor as well as types of flowers and such that you can get for your wedding.

Your theme should reflect your personality!

What are your interests, and likes? Think of words, likes, dislikes and key aspects, write them down, these will help you get closer to making your decision on a theme. Consider favorite colors, flowers, decorations, destinations, seasons, moods that you are attracted to as a couple.
